We have a saying in the family
that this room was added in the 1901 wing so that my great grandfather
could play billiards, but his wife got the better of him and converted
it into The Library. There is ample seating with three sofas and
several chairs. A door leads into the main garden.
As well as a large proportion
of Cossington Park's 5000 books, the Library also has card tables, games, TV and
video.
The dolphins in the Library fireplace were the wheel supports of
The Devonshire, one of the ships captained by my Grandfather, rear-Admiral
Cathcart Romer Wason.
