Cossington Park does not make profits.
All proceeds are used for maintaining the estate. Our mission is to maintain and improve and open the estate for the enjoyment of present and future generations.
We buy produce, goods and services from local suppliers. We have purchased the work of Emma Linham, artist
and mother in Dunster, and local potters.
Cossington Park as been provided as a venue without
charge for functions and garden parties by Cossington School and Bridgwater YMCA. Events have been held in support of national charities.
We have an ongoing association with the registered
charity I CAN, which was founded by the great grandfather of Cossington Park's present Owner/Guardian.
I CAN works to support the development of speech, language and communication skills in all children with a special focus on those who find this hard: children with speech, language and communication needs.
We have a strong association with our local church,
which contains memorials to our ancestors and where some family
members are buried.
In 2009 Cossington Park's garden was offered as a venue for afternoon picnics and a concert of Water Music and other orchestral works as part of the Cossington Concerts Handel Festival.
In 2008 we held a strawberry tea party attended by over 150 people which raised £1300 on behalf of Cossington Church and Secret World, a local charity that rescues animals.
