Introduction to Bedrooms

There are six luxuriously furnished bedrooms, most of which are named after their unusual bronze doorknockers, and four bathrooms. In addition, Pooh's Corner has two single sofa-beds.

There are full-size beds for up to 12 people and sofa-beds for 3 or 4. We also have a put-u-up bed and two cots, so lots of combinations are possible. Our maximum number of adults is 14 and we can accommodate above this number with children and infants. All rooms except The Pump Room and The Nursery could take an extra bed or cot. All of the bedrooms and bathrooms are on the first floor. The maximum seating number round the main Dining Room table is 14, but there is a table suitable for 'kids' teas' in the Breakfast Room.

Three bedrooms are in the oldest part of the house: Chaucer, The Nursery and The Trusty Servant. The other three are in the 1901 wing: Jolly Monks, The Cobbler and The Pump Room.

Located at the end of the long stair in the 1901 wing, the House Bathroom has a full size bath with high-level shower unit over it. It serves The Pump Room and The Trusty Servant and is an alternative bathroom for The Cobbler.
